Hello! I'm Mara, an incoming freshman at George Washington University.
I spend a lot of time making things. Although I study econ, I am passionate about web development! This website, for example, was coded from scratch in VSCode over the course of four days, and is hosted on my beloved Neocities.
Aside from my personal endeavors, I am a community volunteer.

Wash dishes, prep and serve meals, pick up food, organise the kitchen.
Pantry drives and other donation events, outreach graphics for programs supporting local families.
Run rehearsals, work with younger students one-on-one, and provide support during the season.

Outside, in the alley behind the building, a stray dog starts up a low, wailing sort of bark that carries strangely far in the cold evening air. For just a moment, it sounds almost human.
